Re: Homelink on the Crossfire..?
Even better maybe make this a sticky thread as I have done a lot of digging into this prior to booking my garage door in to be automated.
I have spoken to Homelink in Europe and Chrysler technical who are still to get back to me.
Follow my instructions earlier in this thread to determine the software version of homelink in your car and the region code. Mine is version 6 and UK.
Version 6 needs a 434mhz transmitter/reciever for the crossfire to talk to the opener. Sommer UK supply 800mhz transmitters as standard but I am making arrangements to change the PCB in the Sommer motor so it talks on the right frequency to esnure it works.
I have not tested it on the 800mhz band yet becasue the company came out today to install it but brought a wall mounted control unit! I wanted a unit that was mounted on the ceiling and plugged into the socket in the ceiling out of the way. Plus the de latching kit for the lock had not arrived so they are coming tuesday to do the whole job.
I will show a video once complete on how to code it in to the car for other people on this site.
Seems a bit odd I know I thought the whole idea of Homelink was a standard set across the range that enabled deices to communicate, it seems this is not the case and you need to check what version you are running etc
Hope this helps...
