Good point on setting Homelink via the Opener, versus the Remote.
On my particular unit I had to take the additional step as outlined in the Manual, and set Homelink via the set button on the Garage Door Opener.
I missed this the first time a tried to Program it, but once I completed the additional step, I was home free.
(I guess it pays to completely read the instructions...lol...).
