I have never used them, but I would think that dust is dust. It may not get as much on the wheels, but the dust is going somewhere, and my guess would be it is being caked on the inner wheel. You can get the front Akebonos for about $80, and then get the backs later for only $40. The backs don't produce that much dust anyway.
