Problem is still happening occasionally here. Will get goofy for a day or so. Then not a peep for a week or more. Argh. Annoying problem. Trying to get into my local mechanic this week, give him the list of possible issues. He knows very little about Xfires, but hoping he can run diagnostics. He's a really car nut, loves to research stuff, so he may just have a nice project here...ugh.

Anyhow, is it at all possible that the big block fuse under the hood needs to be replaced? The problem started for me after a really thorough wash. The Radio Shack buzzer stopped working immediately after this, so I disconnected it from that fuse. Screwed around with it, redid connections, etc. Probably pulled that fuse and put it back in a dozen times.

Then the alarm started going off randomly an hour or so later. Thoughts on that? Did I screw something up by pulling that fuse like that?

Also found some partially frayed wires where plastic is down to wire in that fuse compartment yesterday. Going to tape those up, see if that helps at all.
