Thumbs down Re: AVIC-N2 owners -- I Need help

I cannot help you with the problem you are having, but can offer some advice. Never have any electronic equipment installed by Best Buy, Circuit City or any chain store. I have had a number of problems with Circuit City and Best Buy installations. I always use a reputable custom installer, it costs more but is well worth it in the long run. I had a 1997 Sebring JXi and had a Viper alarm installed by Circuit City, they screwed the installation up. Long story short after 5 months of taking the car back and forth (sometimes towed because the car would not start) I got fed up and went to a custom installer and had the unit reinstalled. The alarm cost me $849.00, and the reinstallation and to fix all the wiring that was cut in error cost another $300.00. I had to take Circuit City to small claims court and they had to pay the $300.00 reinstallation charge + $250.00 for expenses...
