Re: SRT6 as an Investment?
Gary is right here. But a simple review verifies the futility of investing in cars.
In 1957 a T-Bird sold for $3,800.00 Today that same car sells for $35,000 to $60,000
Assuming you spent the thousands or so a year it took to keep it from falling apart.
In 1957 a loaf of bread was 10 cents and a MacDonalds burger was 12 cents. Today a loaf of bread is $2.50 and a burger sells for more than abuck.
A decent 3 bedroom ranch went for $12K and today would sell for $150K
But as an investment the house was a far safer bet for the money. So would the same dollars invested in a simple mutual fund or stocks.
No, don't buy cars for an investment. Buy them to drive. That is their purpose. And at that they yield a far greater return.
As James put it, the last guy you should worry about pleasing is the next owner of your car.
