Someone said, I'd learn a lot here and they weren't kidding. I just popped the hatch and sure enough, I see what you folks are talking about. Fortunately mine has not gone through the paint, but in 800 miles it has put indentations in it on both sides. My experience with this type of stuff is stay as far away from a dealer's body shop as you can. My fix is going to be a lot of wax on the spots, probably once a week and hope that takes care of it. If it gets worse I'll go with the tape.
The only people I would let near my car with a paint gun is someone who I know of their work. I've had stuff done at the dealer on my wife's car and the work is poor and overspray usually ends up in the strangest places. I know DC owes it to you to make this right but I'd think long and hard about letting their paint shop near my car.
