I believe this is what dealers can buy them for at auction. Private buyers generaly cannot.
Generaly speaking, retail is 1.5 times auction. So an SRT auction sell price of $12k equates to a retail asking of $18K.
Hence and SRT sale at $12K. keep in mind also that most auctions are stocked with vehicles that are often distressed in some way. High miles, bad Carfax, repossesions. If a dealer took it in trade but cannot stand behind it......etc
I believe Kimpossible could shed further light on this. But do not expect to go to an auction without credentials and get an SRT roadster, especialy a prime condition virginal one..... for $12K.
Cars have an actual loan value far below retail asking. This list reflects that. Helpful knowledge for those trying to negotiate. Now you know what the dealer likely has invested in the car he is persuading you to purchase. About two third of his asking.
