Somewhere I saw a list which had the Xfire as a future collectible. Probably won't happen in my lifetime BUT my grand kids may have a collectible if we still have gas by then. If I was a betting man I say the SRT is the real collectible.
I'm still waiting for my 1975 TR6 to be a collectible. Wait it is a collectible but it really has not appreciated in price. I paid around $4000 and it is worth about $12,000 that is an increase of $8000 over 36 years. That equates to about $220 per year. You don't want to know what I spent redoing the interior, etc. Seat padding alone was $550. BUT like the Xfire I really enjoy driving the TR oil leaks and all. I'm off to work on the beast. They tell me I enjoy that too --- right.
At some point all cars stabilize in price. Going rate for a junker is about $200-400.
I agree with olddoc2u enjoy the ride and let the good times roll.
