Let me help you here....When I modified the roadster, and got her down into the 12.2 bracket, on street tires mind you, I could only do test and tunes nights at the track. NHRA rules will not let a vert compete faster than 13.59....faster than that requires a certified roll cage. I got by until one night, they walked over, poked their head inside, and said "Where's the roll cage?". Thus, the coupe...lol...
Your other concerns, a two night stay even with my wife's packing is doable. I have never had a top problem as it is garaged. You get used to the road noise, as it isn't all that bad. More prevalent on concrete areas of the interstate.
