I already have an update. I just got off the phone with the shop and they have it disassembled on the bench BUT.... the bearings are loose and worn. They won't warranty the work unless new bearings go in. So, new bearings are going in too. I'm a little surprised, maybe I shouldn't be considering, 9,300 track miles and I was wondering what was howling. I thought it was the wheel bearings starting to go. If your don't use you car like I do you shouldn't need to worry but if you do, be prepared just in case. I wonder how much they cost.
