Never thought about pulling it out from the top, sounds good to me so I think its going to happen.
I found out that it's not just a matter of ripping the cupholder itself out, you have to remove the shell too. That was a PITA to remove through the console. I got it done and love the storage bin. I'm also going to add a dual cupholder to the inside of the storage bin.
