Yup... you are letting your shoulder strap seat belt off of your body AFTER you have opened the door. If you let the seat belt go it will "THWAP" the metal keeper into the wide door jam and make tiny dings in the paint.

I have two dings which I filled in with touch up paint.

I feel this may be the cause. Open of other ideas...?
