can't answer the out of sequencing query for sure .....I believe the sequence is computor controlled and will restore. BUT I'd be very careful about bracing the top up with anything braced on the toneau. The top may have too much weight when relaxed and possibly bend and deform the toneau. Just my $.02 worth ..... Again, someone will add to this ..... just be patient
