I understand completely. I've tried upshifting early before going into a turn near the top of 2nd because when it shifts in the middle of the turn it upsets the car. So flying down the short chute, hit the lever, no shift .... no shift ...... son of a gun shift sucker! Won't do it on demand. Gotta wait until it feels like it.
Blue tops speed up and harden the shifts but you still have the torque management. The TCU can be pulled and sent off to be modified but I don't know anyone that's done it on a Crossfire and I decided not to be a guinea pig. The LX's have a Mopar performance TCU they can buy and they can firm up the shifts with the Diablo tuner too.
