I know that Techron was recommemded by BMW dealrs a few years back and was part of their maintenance program...don't know if they do it anymore. I had a '90 Turbo Dodge Spirit for 20 years and 180,000+ miles. Put in Techron once a year and before long trips just like the other poster. At around 120,000 miles I had a leaky injector, so I sent all of them in for rebuilding. The rebuilding report that came back said that the leaky injector was junk, but that the 3 good injectors were performing like new with beautiful spray patterns. It's either Techron or the Shell gas that I use that does the trick. I will continue to use Techron in my new (2004) Crossfire.
