Be kind, the car looks good guys...... and isn't any where near a "ricer" mod. However, while it's a well intended mod, I too don't like the look of the strips. It looks too aftermarket / patched on for my taste. I like the intention of the mod though because I do like the new Audi lights and many others that are moving to similar adaptations for the lights, and it I were to consider it on mine, I'd want it to be more subtle and really integrated into the existing lamps. I've thought about it for daylight running light scheme but I'm not there yet. Frankly, I like the set up / look of our front ends and headlight units stock.
