Default Re: LOSING COOLANT IN SRT6 (any ideas)

Not preaching but I hate cooling system corrosion related problems. EXPENSIVE! With all the aluminum in the engine systems these days...radiators, blocks, heads, IC, and pumps it is one of my neurotic little worries. I picked up my SRT in April with 17,500 miles on the car. On the first service visit to my dealer I had them do all sorts of unscheduled maintenance including a full coolant flush and refill of the engine and IC systems. I figured the car was more than six years old and even with low miles the HOAT juice should be changed. Still, heat and oxygen will take its toll. But so far, no IC pump failure or leaks in the system...so far. I haven't swapped out the OEM battery yet as the car will never see cold weather but I know that's just a matter of time too. Well, does diligent maintenance keep you out of trouble with this car? Or is the IC system just a flawed design (pump & piping)?
