No idea what you're talking about, unless you typed something wrong.
My A/C always turns off with the car. If I want to have the "REST" run, like Thirteendog is suggesting (also what I've read from many other members), I just push the "REST"/Recirculate button after the car is off. Changing the fan speed **** or pressing the A/C button, unless I have the key still in and turned one click, does nothing.
But most of what you said is correct. Just that A/C part I don't understand, unless your car is different from mine somehow.
