I don't know. I think they're more concerned with opening a new market: the guys that want more power but aren't willing to go the crank pulley route because of either labor or reliability concerns. The SC pulley is so easy to change, even _I_ could do it. (And that's saying a lot.) But I'm sure as heck not gonna put a crank pulley on myself.

Also, depending on manufacturing costs, they might make a better margin on the SC pulley. I just hope that it is priced close to the old Code3. I'd love to step up to the 181mm, but a thousand dollars is a lot of jack for a relatively small increase (compared to the Code3).
