I wouldnt do it like that... Instead, I would have someone cut out a section prior to the muffler and install an exhaust cutout. You can buy an electrical unit that can remotely open and close the exhaust butterfly door from within the cabin, allowing you to raise or lower your exhaust sound. Just make sure that you buy a good butterfly cutout, price dictates quality with them.
