I got out and shut the door and went in the house. About an hour later I decided get something out of my car. Well, the alarm goes off as the driver side door did not lock, but the alarm was set. I reached to the center console and it was locked. I ran to get a car to get my original keys to turn the alarm off. No problem, the alarm disengaged and all is quiet.

The next morning I get in the car, start it and drive off to work. On the way I decided to get something out of my center console. Well, son of a *****, it was locked. My initial thought was okay no problem I'll wait till I get to the office and lock and unlock the car. No luck. The center console is still locked.

I did a search on the forum and although there were two posts neither one gave me any help. Is there something I am missing? Is it because I used a different key to lock the car? (That key is locked in the center console now). I have a cup holder and I don't think I can pry that out to get to the locking mechanism. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Randy

Hi RMADERMAN,

Each key fob can be programmed differently. There are 2 programming modes. One mode locks the doors, but not the center console on the roadster. The other mode locks the center console as well.

Therefore, I believe that your key fobs are programmed differently.

Try the following two things to unlock your center console:

1. When using the key fob you have, hit the open button twice instead of once.

2. Try using the central locking system button that is located on the dash...under the radio.

Good Luck....Ben
