Default Giving it a try

Ok, so I'm going to go take my dog for a nice little walk and when I get back I'm gonna try my best at putting in my alternator. Excellent descriptions on how I go about tackling the alternator and serpentine belt. I thought I'd make it easier on myself and remove the fan like advised. The steps are very easy-however, I can not seem to unplug the wires. I don't want to break anything. So how do I unplug the wires? I'll be bak in abit to check on things. This would be so cool if I can replace this with your instructions! Thanks.
Ok, so I was able to remove the belt and I proceeded on with the instructions and removed the two alternator bolts. I then jacked up the front end to go under and remove the belly pan-well that's when I decided I best wait for hubby to get home tonight. I didn't feel secure with the position of the jack (I had it on the only soild looking bracket (bar) under the front, but it didn't look right to me). And as far as removing the belly pan to get to the alternator to turn it over and undo the wiring...didn't even see how that was going to happen considering the dozen bolts on the pan and then another few holding the alternator in. So I gently lowered the car down and may try to tackle the alternator from up top in a while. I did notice a very strange looking bolt or ?? while I was under the car and it looked like that needs to be removed too for the alternator to budge. Oh well.
