I've also heard from a car mag about a year ago that the yet to be released new Alfa Romeo(Fiat) Spider would be the most likely candidate for a new Crossfire.

I've always like the Spiders so it wouldn't be a bad thing to me.

And since the span between our generation and the next, I too hope the cars would be considered as two different models and not fall into the mantra of "old one's bad, new one's better".

The only negative I've ever heard about our cars are that they are underpowered. Those folks who made comments like that must have liked our cars enough to hold them in such high regards that they expected Ferrari performance out of them. SRT's are no slugs.
