Well I posted earlier about my search for an srt6 and finally the dealer gave me the deal I was looking for but upon delivery there is a slight snag.the vehicle in question is an 05 srt6 with a hair over 40k miles.The dealer agreed to deliver the car to me today because I live about 70 miles from them and I'm in Ct and the dealer is in RI.The salesman gets here and I get in the car to take it to the emissions station which is mandatory here to register a car.I notice the A/C isnt blowing cold and the low coolant light is on.Luckily I hadn't signed the final paperwork yet so the salesman makes arrangements for us to take it to a local dealer and they tell us it needs a PCM which of course the seller is going to pay for.they were kind enough to get me a rental while I'm waiting for my new ride.My question is will installing a new PCM send out codes when they run it thru emissions? I remember my explorer was a pain in the neck I had to drive it about 200 miles to run the computer thru its cycles before the emissions station would test it.Anyone have any experience with this ?
What does the PCM have to do with the A/C and coolant light?
