Cruise Update....
Through a stroke of good fortune (and a lot of help from SRT6 in MI), former Chrysler exec Scott Wilkins has agreed to address our group at the Dream Cruise.
Scott was the key program manager for the Crossfire with responsibilities for shepherding it from conception through distribution. He was the critical decision-maker for the vehicle with daily calls to the Karmann plant, Stuttgart HQ and all the other "fun" corporate stuff that occurred behind the scenes.
Scott has also agreed to share an early SAE presentation with us that discusses the genesis of the Crossfire (no pun intended Eric). I'm thinking we'll fit Scott's presentation in at Brady's Sat night and maybe at the museum, depending on his schedule. His son may also attend our display area with his Crossfire.
We'll have the opportunity for a detailed discussion and a lengthy group Q&A session, so between Scott, Clint and myself (3 Chrysler execs who were intimately involved with the vehicle from 2003-2008), we should be able to answer any and all questions you may have.
