Default traction control issues

Hey, all... I've been looking to sell me 05 Xfire srt on the grounds that I can't maneuver it how i want to. I had a 98 grand prix gtp (super v6) before this care and the biggest difference is it was front wheel.

My issue is this...
With my FWD gtp I could whip around corners and drift the back end (and sometimes front end if it was a hard enough turn) with ease. I'm aware its ghetto drifting but when i try to do it with the SRT traction control ON the entire back end stops and its a crazy, sudden, seems like the car just said NO! kind of sudden stop. the engine revs lower and sometimes i actually come to an entire stop.

How can i get my car to act like it has an ESP or work how ive portrayed i want it to?

sorry for my ignorance in how braking, etc works lol. and im 90% sure the esp is where the car applies a % of brake power to the right rear wheel assuming your back end is swinging to your right.

EDIT: auto lsd is apparently what im wanting. i think
