If you have a 178, or other crank pulley, you are spinning all the other pulley's faster. Ergo the NW pulley saver kit.....

mike thats not completely correct. the only pulleys that are changed with the psk are the tensioner and the idler pulleys. so when you add a larger crank pulley the a/c , alternator, waterpump, power steering, all are also spinning faster. with the s/c pullay none of the acc. are spinning faster. there is a possibility of wearing the acc. bearings out
