Maybe it's just the summer thing that makes it difficult for me then. Especially with the Austin GP next year. I'm going to struggle to get to a CAA event in the summer.

The south has great places and spring brings warm weather there early. Cabin fever out to be at it's peak up north. A reason to shoot south and get some sun.
Western Arkansas, East Texas, Southern Indiana come to mind. On a wild shot even S Carolina and Florida have interesting venues.
Taking another tack, I gotta say Niagra Falls/northern New York region in late May would be cool. Spring snow melt rivers, green scenery and all before the black flies come out. Our Canadian friends would not have to caravan for days to meet up.
