Also, as good as this article is, it has to be taken with a grain of salt. It states,
"However it’s important to remember that atmospheric pressure is constantly pushing oxygen and moisture into the rubber from the outside of the tire."
This statement is of course ridiculous because atmospheric pressure is much lower than that of the pressure inside the tire.
