Default Re: "Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero"

I just watched 3 more episodes and I have to tell you I am amazed with the amount of detail and effort that has gone into this 16 acre sight.
This is one of the most beautiful memorial places I have ever seen.
It's truly architectural excellence in every way.

The location where each tower stood has been transformed into deep voids in the ground lined with black granite with a waterfall running down the walls deep down inside from the top pools and is surrounded by beautiful bronze border with the names of nearly 3000 people who lost their lives on 9/11.

It is surrounded by hundreds of living trees to create a beautiful 7 acres and will be surrounded by 5 newly designed towers of different heights all under construction at this time. This 10 year anniversary has been a target date for the first unveiling and it appears they have met the deadline and it will be opened finally after 10 years behind a fence.

So much more to tell but all I can say is watch the series if you can't go to NY and see this for yourself.
The entire site is to be completed by 2014.

If you have not been able to watch these shows in this series they will all air back to back on 9/11 on the discovery channel.
