All the cars I ever drove that were sticks were American cars... Like ford and gm. I would have never figured out how to put the crossfire in reverse unless I read the manual. Since the crossfire I drove a BMW and Audi a4 and both were sticks. I either had to push the shifter down or up to get them in reverse. My guess is that it is a German car thing.
