Cool Re: Oil Leaking From Right Front Top of Engine

Didn't know this, but they said that it's not that difficult to get keys that will work. It was stolen outside a restaurant. That was a horrible nightmare. Since then I've asked around and found out that car thieves are just about invincible! Apparently if they want it they can get it. And of course, no one pays attention to alarms anymore, especially in public places.

We were so very lucky that a concerned citizen called us saying it was left in the back of his apartment complex, had been there for several days and that the police wouldn't do anything about it when he called them. He found my number on a folder in the back, and called me directly. We had made police reports, but that's about the extent of their involvement. Soon as I got the call, my husband and I went and brought it home. The rest is history. Funny thing is when we called the cops and said we'd found it, they said to be sure not to move it.
Hahahaha! It was in the worst part of town! Like we'd really leave it there. No way was I going to risk someone else taking it. The battery was dead and it was out of gas, oil, water, but we were prepared for that. About 2 weeks later they sent an officer out to the house, he walked around it, said it looked good, and he removed it from the stolen car list.
