I would agree. Firstly take care, as a Convertable Top from a Car with 36,000 miles cannot be TOO Far from the window falling out, as many do. Secondly, from somone who started to remove his Convertable top AND gave up, NOT EASY. Professionals generally charge $600-650 to remove and replace, so also NOT a five minute job. Let someone who knows what they are doing undertake this task, OR you could just be wasting your money and maybe cocking up your top mechanisms/microswitches altogether. I posted on the forum for guidance regarding the removal of my top, with NO responses at all, can't be too many people who have done it themselves, IF ANY. If you have a pretty reasonable top, with just a window problem, get a professional to do the window, at a cost of $750 Total, to fit a new window, guaranteed for life not to fall out again. That includes removal and replacement of top PLUS NEW Window. My Advice for what it is worth. Cost of a complete top (Canvas and window-FITTED) $2000-2500. JUST had mine done in German Canvas Navy Blue. I have a reliable professional contact in Houston, if anyone is interested.
