Just ordered the DWS Contis from Tire Rack, (free GPS included). The 255s were on back order so (since they're for the wife's 08 XF) I just went with the 245/35/19s....less than 1% difference in revs/mile ...they were only $198 each vs $231 ($66 less for 2) for the 255s. They are supposedly 4lbs lighter each also.

So with shipping = $737.82.....OEMs would have been $334 more & wife has ZERO confidence on snow & ice with her OEMs...they only have 13,000 miles on them.....guess I'll keep them as back ups in case of a flat.



Still super happy with the 265/35/19 Blizzaks on the rear of mine ....over a full year & look like I'll get >40,000 miles out of those $105 winter tires...wearing much better than the OEMS. Also happy with the super cheap Achilles ATRs....on the front ....also look like > 40,000 mile tires !!!!! Extra set of both waiting in basement storage.....so happy with this set-up I couldn't let her put them on her car!!!
