Even the parts manager had to go "up stairs" to check it out and make sure it was legit. My new top is ordered and will be here next Tuesday. And since this is a 'new' part number, it would seem that Chrysler has been planning this rollout for some time.
Once I see the thing, I'll report back as to quality and workmanship.
PS: You can thank the many people responding under the "Convertible Top Problem Solved" thread. Apparently so many people have been bltching to Chrysler that Chrysler finally conceded the problem and essentially made it a defective product recall.
Good enough for me.
Keep us in the loop as I know you will. I would assume many of us, that Chrysler can track down, should be getting correspondence in the mail, at some point, concerning this.
