Re: Best kept Secret
On topic of Chryslers and grocery stores:
A couple days ago I drove my Crossfire to the grocery store to grab a quick protien bar before the gym and I see a beautiful PT Cruiser right as I come in. I notice on the spot, and from previous research, this was a rare Dream Cruiser. It was a Street Cruiser: Sunset Boulevard Edition. A rich ruby/burnt orange metallic with crisp chrome accents. Very nice.
Comming out of the store and into my car, I see the lady who owns the PT. Carefully, very carefully, I creep from one row to the next for a direct route to the PT.
I roll down the window and ask the lady if it was a Dream Cruiser. You know just to give her a chance to feel good about her ride. She was taken aback and didn't understand. I quickly mentioned it looked great and I thought it was one of the special ones. She reply's that she thought I was one of her husband's friends giving her a hard time about her PT Cruiser.
She should not be ashamed. They are iconic little cars and I've always wanted one since they first came out. A timeless design remeniscent of the Prowler supercar. Besides a sludgy base engine, what's not to love? With careful maintenance there should never be a problem.
I hope I gave the lady a little bit of pride of ownership for her car with a compliment comming from someone in an amazing Crossfire.
I like the new Chryslers, but the previous image if Chrysler embodied my personal style. From the PT Cruiser to the Crossfire, there was something about every model in the lineup I loved; yes, even the last Sebrings.
