I imagine we can then create a second template that will make it easier to locate exactly where to start cutting.

Maybe you should fly out to Fontana North Carolina in two weeks with a handful of these bad boys and some paddles. I'm sure you could fill your wallet and meet some really nice people. Plus you'll have a blast.
