As for the paddles, I always thought they were just a gimmic. That is until about a month ago when I had the extreme pleasure of spending a few days (and about 1500 miles) cruising on some of California's best "Dragon like" roads in a Lexes IS 350 with the paddle shifts. Unbelievable car, and I don't think I would ever get a car with an automatic without them.

A good local beer is fine
The our member Latemodel (Chris) is making a really nice shift paddle kit. You guys should look into it. It is very ingenious as he uses the horn wire to send the the signal for the paddles. The paddles work just like factory OEM and the horn still works just like stock. The hardest part is installing the paddles which is like an art and crafts project and removing the shifter which takes some time but not all that hard to do. There are other steps but they are very simple.
