I was actually considering that, mostly because i wanted to paint the cover to match my car. Your hoses connect to blocky plastic parts next to your radiator. You have to pop those out. Once you do that you can run 3" hose through the passanger side and 2-3/4" hose through the driver side. After you get the hose through you'll just get 90 degree couplers and install filters.
There are some lines that you might find you'll have to relocate, either that or run the filters lower down towards your lower grills.
Also, 3 inch pipe will connect directly into your engine cover, incase you do want a little aluminum showing. But you will want to make sure it's very tight if you're going to have your filter before that fitting.
