  • M113 MAF: PN: A1130940048; The V8 MAF is a full 3” design that allows for increased flow. Not only is it just a larger housing, but the MAF is tuned to run at the larger volume and thus will compensate correctly for the additional airflow. There are inherent issues with putting a non-collaborated MAF in a larger volume, this eliminates that.
  • M113 Throttle Body: PN: A1131410125; The larger V8 TB is opened up to 74 mm and matches the inlet of the intake manifold perfectly. The engine will need to adjust to the new TB when first installed and a learning period of about 3-5 mins is necessary. Simply turn the key to the second position and let the TB calibrate itself.
I was just going through this thread again after not looking at it for some time and I noticed a few things.
The first would be the part number of the engine cover (air box), it calls for part#A112 090 15 01. I had this part and I found that it touches the hood liner and marks it. The correct part number is A112 090 11 01 which gives about 1/2" clearance. It should be noted that this engine cover is a two piece assembly and requires the front part to make it look correct. It works without the front part which is only a cosmetic addition. This front part fits V6 and V8 air boxes alike. The part number is A112 010 04 67.

When I fitted the MAF unit above I replaced the sensor in it with the one from the original MAF unit on the Crossfire, I wonder if that was the correct thing to do. I always thought that the sensor would be tuned to the MAF it was in.
What are your thoughts?

My later post on the Mercedes engine cover mods are in this thread.
