When I fitted the MAF unit above I replaced the sensor in it with the one from the original MAF unit on the Crossfire, I wonder if that was the correct thing to do. I always thought that the sensor would be tuned to the MAF it was in.
What are your thoughts?

IMO, the MAF sensor is calibrated according to the tube size that it fits in. However, the ECU does quiet a bit of compensating. Like what was said above, at first, the engine is a bit slugish and bugs down. It settles after about 15 mins. How about you switch back to the MAF sensor that came with your 74mm tube and report back your findings. I'm curious about your results
