black, after listening to the engineers that headed the project for Chrysler, while attending the Woodward meet. I can say positively, it is all Benz. Karmann was contracted to built it, so it was built in Germany, this we can all agree. The SRT's have an AMG drivetrain, whether our AMG owners like it or not, they were contracted to build the motors. The suspension which was said to be out dated technology wasn't at all. It was similar technology with a different steering component. Chrysler guys would spend time there, but it was a German build all the way. MB won't claim it, and neither will Chrysler, so it is destined to be what it is. A fun car to drive, but, collectability...just don't see. Those who stashed them away are even starting to sell them now, rather than wait. Drive them like you stole them, as some of us did...
