I took it to read $1500 including the parts. I went into this expecting to pay somewhere around $1,200-$1,400. The first quote I got was from an independent garage that did some work for me on another car about a year ago. They quoted me $2100. Then I went to a high performance tune shop recommended by a forum member. They quoted me $3,600. I'm sure this latter outfit would have done a very top notch job but $3,600 just seemed out of line. In their defense, their quote included replacing the flywheel which is about a $1,200 item. I posted on the forum for recommendations for a reputable repair facility in the Phoenix area and only got that one suggestion.

I going back to the first garage today and see if they will allow me to furnish my own parts and also see how many hours they are quoting.
