I tried reading through all the lawyer-ese on that page, and gave up.
My guy at Discount said basically the same thing, to the point where they literally won't send tires in to Conti for warranty approval because they're such @ssholes to deal with. Discount, however, hooked me up with a deal that was better than the rate I was hoping to get from Conti... So from a $$$ perspective I was taken care of. And being completely serious with you all, I NEVER expected 50,000 out of a set.
Still, I was hoping for more than 18,000.
All things being said, I am seriously considering the Continental DW as my next tire, simply because I can't find fault with the performance of the tire and I was using a all-season. Traction can only improve with the DW over the DWS and I am about to be driving the car on a less frequent basis.
I ran pricing on a full set of DW and I'm still a few hundred below Michelin or any other comparable brand. Hankooks are still a consideration but I hate the browning of the sidewall that so many members experience. Since my car is as much "show" as it is "go", brown tires are a no-no.
