Re: speeding ticket
I didn't think this was true because of this statement, "Points are not assessed to your license until all Financial Transactions are complete."
I got pulled over and received a ticket in an area that had just dropped its speed limit from 55 to 45 and of course I was go'n 55. I was pissed because the cop knew it had recently been changed. Anyway on court day I went to court annd plead guilty. The judge gave me a $75 fine plus like $60 court costs. He said pay the clerk across the hall. I said no. He asked me why. I said I'm a disabled Vet and can't afford to pay this fine but I am prepared to go to jail. He said look tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I don't want to send you to jail. I told him not to feel bad about it, that I didn't mind go'n in for a month or so. He asked me how long it would take me to pay it. I said look I ain't gonna never pay this. I want to serve my time. He said ok heres what i'm gonna do, I'll forgive the court cost but since you plead guilty I gotta charge you the fine but I'm gonna give you a year to pay it. I took the year but the points showed up about a month later.
