The car was built with approximately 80-90% Mercedes-Benz components, most notably of which are the chassis (which is based on the Mercedes R-170 platform) and the engine (two of which were available- the 3.2L M112 E32 and the supercharged 3.2L AMG M112 E32). 158-mph top speed (electronically limited). Manufactured in Osnabrück, Germany. SRT6's were only made in 2005. The SRT-6 was mainly produced as a 2005 model, with 2,944 of them coming off Karmann's production line in Osnabrueck Germany. (2,016 Coupes and 928 Roadsters). A very limited number of SRT-6's were sold as 2006 models. Only twelve or thirteen 2006 SRT-6's are believed to exist in the U.S.
