I was just trying to relate it to my buddys 90's camaro. It idled **** poor but drove fine.
I saw some Impala SS's and others at the WDC and they were the same.
Is it possible that you have a vacuum leak somewhere, possibly on the brake booster? Increased revs result in more vacuum and this seals the leak.
