Default 2 am - IC Pump Install is done...Wow!!!

Just finished installing the Ford Lightning/cobra pump. The most fun I've had since the cancer surgery took me down for nearly a year. Got my ultragauge the same day. Install it first and went for a ride. IAT were running way high. Just cruising 130, when boostin 190. Car would disengane the supercharge pulley around 185 and the revive somewhere around 150. As soon as I got on it would be back 190.

The ambient temperature was cool 46 degress

Just idling IAC's were 125 with ambient 46.
Definitely there is problem at foot.

Time for the installiing. What I estimated could be a 30 min job, took 3 and half hours. Mostly because I didn't have hose clamps and butt connector at 11PM. Had make a run to Wally world to get clamps, connectors, heat shrink.
Very little coolant lost, pump installed easily with the older bracket. Wiring requires splicing the old connector off and installing the Ford. Easy. Okay I better sum up quick the Ambien is kicking in and it getting hard to type... must.....must.....finish....
The results absolute incredible. Idling at ambient 46, IAT show 59. That a long way from idling at 125 IAT.
When boosting the highest IAT's I logged was in the 80's. It would quickly fall to the high 50's pulling in the drive way.

In some cases there was a drop of 140 degree from the new pump. The car felt incredibily faster as timing was not retard coupled with cool dense charged air. I'm as happy with the Ultragauge as much the new pump. For the money, the little thing is slick. So much great information to evaluate problems and solutions.
Car feel so much stronger. I believe the gentleman that had the car prior had been driving that way for 4 years (only 2400 miles).

Old pump was completely shoot, you could barely turn the motor. All froze up. Time to sleep.... but I had to write this before I forgot.......
