I spoke to a Svc Mgr in the Tampa area the other day who said the criteria was where the car was built
not where it was delivered. specifically which plant in Germany. I also had someone at Chrysler tell me it could be as simple as the morning crew used bad glue, they figured it out and by the afternoon the problem was solved so only vins on cars in the am shift would be covered. When will they get it!
Same make, Same model, Same year, Same Problem SAME WARRANTY!!
My 05' has lived in FL all of its life. except the 2.5 yrs it sat on a lot in NJ waiting to be auctioned off and sold as new in FL. So I dont buy the southern state thing. Ive got a case mgr now and I can be pretty persistent (to put it nicely) so lets see what happens
My Chrysler reply is that it only covers vehicles originally shipped and sold in Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina Texas.
It mystifys one to know how they know that the roof manufacturing defect was tied to vehicles only in those states.
